Why All Employers Should Be Required to Furnish Employees Pay Stubs in at Least Electronic Format

All traditional employers should be required to provide their employees their pay stubs in at least electronic format, i.e. via email or their company portals, and employees should be capable of printing their check stubs or having any that they request delivered to them in paper format by their employer.

...The obvious reason for this is to enable employees to routinely perform checks and balances on their pay or to make certain that their hours worked and expected deductions jibe with those reflected on their pay stubs. Employees could otherwise be shorted of their pay and never know it, particularly if they are shorted of conservative amounts that could add up over time, however. There could additionally be other errors that could be readily caught in routinely perusing one's pay stubs...

It's essential for employees like me who routinely tithe to know their gross income furthermore, since the tithe is 10% of one's gross rather than net income. The reason I decided to write this post is because I have been stressing to my son, who recently became employed, the importance of tithing and paying his income taxes. My son's employer does not provide him or presumably any of their employees with check stubs...

I have had direct deposit for many years, and since acquiring it each of my employers have provided me with check stubs. I personally would not elect to work for a company that would not.
