Indeed.com Implemented My Messaging... Idea
Indeed.com implemented my job board messaging center idea. I initially noticed this new feature and received my first message in April of 2017. It is precisely what I had in mind and a little more. Employers utilize the Indeed messaging center to provide additional information about jobs that applicants have applied for and others offered. There is a "Confirm my interest" button for applicants to readily inform employers of interest in jobs for which they have been contacted, a "Maybe later" button for applicants to inform employers that they might potentially be interested in jobs for which they've been contacted, and a "Decline" button to inform employers of disinterest in jobs for which they've been contacted. Indeed won't share applicants' contact information when selecting either of the latter two options. There is a general "Reply" button to elaborate on any decision. Implementation of the job board messaging center has likely improved employment prospects for candidates utilizing Indeed, and, hopefully, additional forthcoming ideas that I have for improving the platform will make it even more user-friendly.
